Gary The Guitar made a discovery: Adobe Character Animator now has a new feature called “Starter Mode” and theres no subscription required to try it. Starter Mode allows you to create animated videos with a selection of free puppets. Also, there is a 7 day trial available for Pro Mode.
In the video above, Gary discusses some of the production methods for creating the music video released by Simcoemedia earlier in 2022 including the use of .srt caption (subtitle) files created in Premier Pro, then imported into Adobe Character Animator to improve lip synchronisation. The music video used 3 customised puppets, edited and designed in Photoshop – a guitarist, bass player and drummer.
