As a freelance designer, photographer and video producer it is important to maintain a diverse portfolio. I’ve always been interested in electric guitar and the ability to electronically manipulate the sound with delay, overdrive, reverb, distortion and even more experimental sounds created by stompboxes such as the Boss Multi Overtone or Boss Tera Echo. Having recently purchased a Gretsch, I began work on a new instrumental track called “Anthem”. It was created using Propellerheads Reason and Adobe Audition to record guitar tracks, a bassline and synth along with programmed drums. A video with a unique stop-motion effect was then created in Adobe After Effects to promote an edited version of the track. – Peter Simcoe
