A music video is a great way to promote a song by adding visual themes to the audio and opens up the opportunity to distribute via YouTube, Instagram and Facebook. This video was created for the song Your Love (Makes Me Feel Real), a collaboration between Peter Simcoe and Berlin based Dorothy Bird. The song was recorded with Propellerheads Reason using electric guitar, synth and bass guitar with vocals recorded by the vocalist remotely. The response to the song was overwhelmingly positive. This animated cartoon is a promotional video for A Little On The Darker Side. The song was written and produced by Peter Simcoe with Alex Edy on vocals. It was recorded with Propellerheads Reason using electric guitars, synth and bass guitar.

The video was created using Photoshop to draw and edit the characters, Adobe Character Animator to rig and animate them. They were then imported into After Effects to create the depth, shadow and camera movement.

The characters have been added to Adobe Aero, so now you can watch them peform in an augmented reality space of your choosing – the office, your lounge or even outside. You need Adobe Aero for your mobile device (iOS currently supported) and then are required to click on the QR Code on this page. You will need to wait for around 40 – 50 seconds on a reasonably fast connection (75mb/s) for all of the elements to load. Aero will open automatically.
