| The Drawing Research
Network (DRN) is a loose network of individuals
and institutions who are involved in some way with drawing research, for
example via professional practice, education or the promotion of drawing.
Some participants come from institutions with established drawing activities
including courses, research, publications and exhibitions. Other participants
simply have an interest in drawing. Membership of the Network is free.
The DRN has an email discussion group which was established in June 2001 and it currently has about 130 members including research students, academic staff and practising artists and designers. Steve Garner currently manages the web site and list. The DRN website can be accessed here, and instructions for joining the email discussion group are here. Individuals and institutions use the Network to communicate news; to explore possibilities for cooperation in drawing research, to formulate collaborative projects and to share outputs. The web site is intended to provide information for those interested in drawing research. It presents information on people who have become associated with the Network; recent drawing projects; pointers to institutions engaged in drawing research and links to organisations involved in the promotion of drawing. |
